This is a podcast called “Crime junkie” and this is totally crime related. I watched the episode which titled with “A secret stalker”. This is a case of a missing girl in 1992, and then the police found out who is the convict. This is my first time and I am really enjoy while listening to this podcast.

 

Firstly, the podcast attracts audiences get into the case by using some mysterious music and raising different questions. It lets audiences have a sense of presence of the place where a crime happened. Also, the hosts repeating some important sentences and using appropriate speed and tones. 

 

Moreover, the hosts of the podcast describe the place of the case very clearly. “You can almost picture it out. The sun has set. The light illuminated the inside of the store making it possible to see out clear as a picture to see in.” The hosts describe the time, the lights and the environment of the store which the girl worked for very clearly and detailed. It makes me feel like I went to the store before.

 

Thirdly, the episode also included the real press releases sound record clips. Apart from the sound clips, it also provides some real information about the case such as the victim’s and the convict’s picture. Some excerpt of the letters that the convict wrote. These materials make the podcast being more informative and realistic.

 

The podcast is also meaningful to audiences. Not only listen to podcast which helps you to kill time, but also get some new reminder of it. The hosts reminding the audiences that watch out who is surrounding you, be aware and careful while being alone.
